NEUROFEEDBACK

What IT IS

Neurofeedback is a state-of-the-art approach to elevating brain function and enhancing both cognitive and physical health. This powerful, non-invasive technique allows individuals to optimize their brain’s performance by providing immediate feedback on brainwave patterns, ultimately leading to improved nervous system regulation and management of biological homeostasis.

how it works

The process involves placing sensors on the scalp that pick up the electrical signals produced by the brain. These signals are then fed into a computer that analyzes them and generates visual and/or auditory feedback in real-time. This feedback helps the client learn how to modify and regulate their brainwave patterns, leading to improved neurological function and mental performance.

Overall, neurofeedback is a safe, effective, and non-invasive method for improving mental and physical health. By training the brain to function optimally, you can enjoy a higher quality of life, enhanced performance, and greater resilience to stress and illness.

what it does

Neurofeedback has been shown to help with a wide range of health topics including anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, chronic pain, migraines, chronic fatigue, insomnia, and more. It has also been used to enhance cognitive performance, creativity, and overall mental wellness.

Neurofeedback has been scientifically proven to be effective in helping individuals achieve a state of optimal brain function. By improving brainwave patterns and reducing maladaptive patterns, clients can experience better mental clarity, improved mood, increased focus and attention, reduced anxiety, and better sleep quality.

SHOW ME SOME SCIENCE & EVIDENCE

Neurofeedback Applied to Anxiety & Related Autonomic Nervous System Disorders (June 2020)

A study of Infra-slow (ISF) neurofeedback training of 10 sessions on 30 adults demonstrated significant impacts to biofeedback metrics that included heart rate variability (HRV), muscle tension, skin temperature, skin conductance, heart rate, respiration rate, and blood pressure.

Brain Activity Influenced by Infra-Low Frequency Neurofeedback: A Systematic Mixed Studies Review (July 2022)

Scientific appraisal of 18 well-documented studies identifying neurofeedback as an impactful method for brain activity regulation, as well as neurophysiological processes.

Neurofeedback Applied to Sleep Issues (September 2021)

40 patients experiencing insomnia sleep issues were studied, with the intervention group receiving 10 sessions of ISF neurofeedback. Results show an improved neurocognitive state was achieved in terms of central nervous system vital signs (CNS VS), with a significant decrease in depression, anxiety, and stress.  Participants had significantly improved sleep quality and fewer night-time disturbances, needed less medication to sleep, and reported significantly less daytime dysfunction due to sleepiness.

Influence of ISF Neurofeedback on Circadian Rhythm and Brain Neurons (December 2017)

Infra-slow (ISF) neurofeedback balances the underlying “carrier wave” frequencies of the brain. ISF frequencies impact neurons influencing circadian rhythms in humans, and thus impact sleep cycles.

Closed-loop Brain Training: The Science of Neurofeedback (December 2016)

Animal and human brain self-regulation has been demonstrated after using neurofeedback. Neurofeedback training results in neural and behavioral changes shown to last anywhere from hours to months post-training.
